Tom Fox is 5 feet 3 inches tall. The suspect who is 5 feet 3 inches tall was carrying a white umbrella. Therefore, Tom Fox was carrying a white umbrella. The murderer was carrying a black umbrella, so Tom Fox is not the murderer.
The suspect who was carrying a black umbrella was wearing a purple shirt. The suspect who is 5 feet 6 inches tall was wearing a purple shirt. The suspect who is 5 feet 6 inches tall weighs 220 pounds. Therefore, one suspect was wearing a purple shirt, was carrying a black umbrella, is 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighs 220 pounds. But Bob Stevenson was wearing a white shirt, John Martin weighs 200 pounds, Jack Morrison is 5 feet tall, and Tom Fox was carrying a white umbrella. Therefore, the only suspect who could be this suspect is Marty Jones. Since this suspect, Marty Jones, was carrying a black umbrella and the murderer was carrying a black umbrella, he is the murderer.
