Fred Alberts has a wife named Mary. The murderer has a wife named Joyce, so Fred Alberts is not the murderer.
The suspect who weighs 200 pounds has a wife named Joyce. The suspect who weighs 200 pounds owns an orange car. The suspect who owns an orange car is not the one who was carrying an orange umbrella. Therefore, one suspect weighs 200 pounds, has a wife named Joyce, owns an orange car, and is not the one who was carrying an orange umbrella. But Jim Brown weighs 190 pounds, Jack Jones was carrying an orange umbrella, Marty Morrison owns a purple car, and Fred Alberts has a wife named Mary. Therefore, the only suspect who could be this suspect is Larry Fox. Since this suspect, Larry Fox, has a wife named Joyce and the murderer has a wife named Joyce, he is the murderer.
