John Smith owns a green car. The murderer owns a purple car, so John Smith is not the murderer.
The suspect who has grey hair owns a purple car. The suspect who weighs 160 pounds has grey hair. The suspect who weighs 160 pounds is not the one who was wearing blue shoes. Therefore, one suspect has grey hair, owns a purple car, weighs 160 pounds, and is not the one who was wearing blue shoes. But Fred Stevenson has white hair, Jack Alberts was wearing blue shoes, Brian Martin weighs 170 pounds, and John Smith owns a green car. Therefore, the only suspect who could be this suspect is Bob Davis. Since this suspect, Bob Davis, owns a purple car and the murderer owns a purple car, he is the murderer.
