Jack Graig has black hair. The suspect who has black hair owns an orange car. Therefore, Jack Graig owns an orange car. The murderer owns a black car, so Jack Graig is not the murderer.
The suspect who owns a green car is 6 feet 2 inches tall. The suspect who has red hair is 6 feet 2 inches tall. The suspect who has red hair is not the one who was wearing orange shoes. Therefore, one suspect is 6 feet 2 inches tall, owns a green car, has red hair, and is not the one who was wearing orange shoes. But John Smith is 5 feet 9 inches tall, Larry Brown was wearing orange shoes, Jim Edison has white hair, and Jack Graig owns an orange car. Therefore, the only suspect who could be this suspect is Bob Fox. Since Bob Fox owns a green car, he is not the murderer.
The suspect who has brown hair is 5 feet 3 inches tall. The suspect who owns a white car is 5 feet 3 inches tall. Therefore, one suspect has brown hair, is 5 feet 3 inches tall, and owns a white car. John Smith is 5 feet 9 inches tall, Jim Edison has white hair, Jack Graig owns an orange car, and Bob Fox owns a green car. Therefore, that one suspect is Larry Brown. Since Larry Brown owns a white car, he is not the murderer.
Jack Graig has black hair. Jim Edison has white hair, Bob Fox has red hair, and Larry Brown has brown hair. Therefore, John Smith is the one who has no hair. This means that John Smith is not the suspect who owns a black car. Since Jack Graig owns an orange car, Bob Fox owns a green car, and Larry Brown owns a white car, Jim Edison must be the one who owns a black car. Since the murderer owns a black car, Jim Edison is the murderer.
